BRONSCODE B.V.
Privacy
How we handle personal data.
At Bronscode B.V., we treat privacy with the care the subject deserves. As a software company with an academic background, we approach privacy matters from the source: the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) .
We base our approach on the actual legal text of the GDPR, not on vague interpretations. We are happy to refer to provisions that are particularly relevant to our services:
- Article 5 – Principles relating to processing of personal data. Data must be processed lawfully, fairly, transparently and for specified purposes.
- Article 6 – Lawfulness of processing. Personal data may only be processed on a legal basis.
- Article 24 – Accountability. We take appropriate measures and can demonstrate them.
- Article 32 – Security of processing. Technical and organisational measures protect data.
In the education sector, we align as closely as possible with the Privacyconvenant Onderwijs (Dutch Education Privacy Covenant) and the ROSA certification scheme. In addition, we have carried out a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) for our products and processes.

Who we are
Bronscode B.V. (“Bronscode”, “we”, “us”) is responsible for the processing of personal data on bronscode.nl.
Which data we process and why
We process the name, email address and message you voluntarily enter in the contact form. The purpose is to address you personally, respond to your message and handle it with care. The legal basis (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) is our legitimate interest in handling correspondence with care.
We retain this information for a maximum of 12 months after your message has been dealt with, unless a longer period is legally required. After that, we delete or anonymise the data.
Recipients and transfers outside the EEA
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for their own purposes. Where necessary, we engage processors, including Google and Zoho for e-mail traffic. Data may be processed outside the EEA; in that case, we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as EU standard contractual clauses and/or an applicable adequacy decision.
Cookies and tracking
We do not place tracking or marketing cookies via bronscode.nl and do not use analytics services that process personal data. Only strictly necessary techniques may be used to make the site work.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data. You can exercise these rights via Email. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security, minors and changes
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures. The website and the contact form are not aimed at children. We may amend this statement; the most recent version is on this page.
