Steven enjoys building both companies and software. As Bronscode's founder and CEO, he combines entrepreneurship with eight years of professional software development experience. He is energised by building products and growing an organisation where good ideas can become solutions that help people move forward. He lives in Nijmegen; outside work, he windsurfs, plays Go and makes games with friends.
02 / ROLE & PROJECTS
As Bronscode's founder and CEO, Steven focuses mainly on account management, business development and product development. He has contributed to all Bronscode projects for clients in education, grant management and industry. Although he writes less code these days, he remains technically involved. Through The Launch, he is continuing to build Bronscode with the team, alongside other entrepreneurs.
03 / EXPERIENCE
Steven started as a freelance software developer at Quadraam in 2018, during the summer between secondary school and university. After completing three bachelor's degrees in Computing Science, Mathematics and Philosophy, that work grew into Bronscode. He also completed a master's in Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science at Radboud University. He graduated in type theory and published work on inductive and coinductive types with Herman Geuvers and Niels van der Weide. He brings that mathematical precision to the development of reliable software.
